An Alabama prisoner who was allegedly killed after he was raped and tortured by another inmate leaves behind his fiancée, Amber Williams, and an infant daughter.
Daniel Williams, 22, had been serving a 12-month prison sentence for second-degree theft at Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore, Alabama, when a warden found him unresponsive in his cell on October 22.
After the prison initially said that Williams suffered a 'drug overdose,' his family was informed by a nurse that Williams had been 'kidnapped, bound, assaulted and sold out' by another inmate for 'two or three days.'

This is a problem in many U.S. prisons, and — dirty little secret — it’s almost always black-on-white.
A 12 month sentence not a death sentence.
I assumed the attackers, just because it’s Alabama.
One thing I do admit to is I think it’s a disgrace that America allows its prisons to become like this. A person should serve his time in relative peace. He’s been sentenced for his crimes and he shouldn’t be further punished just because he’s in prison.
Medium-level facility. Holds 1,100 roughly...not a large facility. If you view the fenced-in area...probably three football fields in size.
It’s not supposed to be. But you can see with this guy that he had no chance. If I had been his lawyer, I would have advised him to apply for protective custody.
Yes. I’ve heard rumors.
I find so many things about this country bass akwards so to say. For example we don’t give crime breakers the lash anymore because that’s cruel and unusual punishment but instead send them to an out of control prison with gay racist inmates who anally rape them, beat them, steal their food and generally make their lives a living hell.’
that is HUMANE??????
If this young man say bought or sold a small amount of drugs a lashing would be so much more appropriate. 12 lashes in public, his pain and humiliation will likely be enough he will never do it again. In a few days he would be back to work, still have his family and life.
We are becoming a crazy nation.
Sorry that was supposed to be to blurb
Homosexual rape is exploding in the US Military. It’s becoming no different than our Prison System homosexual rape culture
I went to the hospital and the nurses told me that he was assaulted and beaten really badly. And when I went into the room, he had bruises all down his arm, like down to his fingers, he had bruises over here. He had cuts up and down and bruises on his legs. And it was bad...his body showed signs of physical abuse, including that 'his hands were bound.'
I read another report that said there were clear hand prints on the inside of his thighs.
Williams' doctor described the alleged abuse as unlike anything he had ever seen throughout his 30-year medical career."Daniel Williams' sister writes heartbreaking post describing how he 'gasped for air' in hospital after 'days of rape and torture' in Alabama jail"
"ADOC Law Enforcement Services Division, who are investigating the incident, have not apprehended anyone for Williams' death."
I agree with you. A punishment that is immediately administrable would be right.
Anyone want to tell me homosexuals are not criminals only needs to ask what is the first thing people thing of when talking about going to prison: Sodomy.
Prisoners won’t talk. Nobody wants this young man’s fate.
How does a prisoner go missing for two days unnoticed? Don’t they have regular prisoner counts?
Wouldn’t be surprised if some of the guards were in on it.
How about the guards? - apparently SIX SHIFTS’ worth - who ignored the daily counts, falsified or covered them up?
This prison has a long history of guards being convicted of inmates’ deaths.
I wonder if there will be any sort of an investigation.
I can ask my co-worker when I’m on rotation about that. He is a retired prison guard. I think there are at least two counts/day, normally.
However, having been in prison for special projects, I can tell you that there are hidey-holes all over the place. Prisoners know them very well.
I watched an interesting documentary about how Susan Smith (drowned her babies in a car in SC) seduced two guards. One on the AM shift and one on the PM shift. The guards were fired, arrested and punished. High price to pay for a bj.
