Yep. You're right. What's coming to the cities, then spilling into suburbia, is going to look quite a bit like what recently happened in Israel: Utter savagery.
We don’t call it “Memphadishu” for no reason.
How the hell do you make that leap in logic?
“tags, registration, and car insurance are those silly things that only white people are compelled to do”
If black folks have those they are just “acting white”.
;-)
Was the tail door latched or latched and locked?
“Rush Limbaugh saying we should build more prisons”
That’s expensive. Even more expensive is medical help and counseling for those behaving badly. A society can’t afford these things beyond a certain point.
Lots of melanin in that video - makes it not so surprising these days....
FedEx ought to have an electric shock activator switch in the cab. Zap ’em good.
The best thing out of Memphis is I-40.
Memphis - Joe Jackson
Memphis
Where the hell is Memphis?
Memphis
Where the hell is Memphis?
[Verse 1]
I got to get away, study my geography
I’m just a shadow of the boy I used to be
I used to see the light, now it’s all a mystery
I used to feel the beat, now I feel a million miles from...
[Chorus]
Memphis
Where the hell is Memphis?
[Verse 2]
I use dirty words never too excessively
But saying “rock’n’roll” never seemed so bad to me
I once said it in hip and happy company
I was in and out in a second on my way to...
[Chorus]
Memphis
Where the hell is Memphis?
[Chorus]
Memphis
So where the hell is Memphis?
[Verse 3]
I had a one-way ticket and a little radio
I turned it on, heard the sound from twenty years ago
Somebody smiled and said, that’s the only way to go
He died at twenty-one, now nobody’s innocent in...
[Chorus]
Memphis
So where the hell is Memphis?
[Verse 4]
Somebody turned around, said, I got to disagree
He wrote a song to turn people onto anarchy
He made me think about Marlon Brando on TV
I guess they’ll still rebel against anything they got in...
[Chorus]
Memphis
So where the hell is Memphis?
[Chorus]
Memphis
Where the hell is Memphis?
[Verse 5]
I met a wise old man, he had longer hair than me
He said, Memphis is nothing like it used to be
A hundred dead guitars lying in a cemet’ry
I felt a sudden chill, now I’m not so sure about...
[Chorus]
Memphis
Where the hell is Memphis?
[Verse 6]
I’m on a lonesome train on a lonesome track
I think I’ll jump right off, head for home, double back
And though I’m better now I know that no one knows the facts
I’m gonna start again, forget I ever heard about...
[Chorus]
Memphis
Where the hell is Memphis?
I meant— to run over the thieves.
