I am going to assume this is the same Princeton bioethics professor Peter Singer who presented in the New York Times Congressional intent for ObamaCare. He said, “Rationing health care means getting value for the billions spent by setting limits on which treatments should be paid for from the public purse….There’s no doubt that it’s tough – politically, emotionally, and ethically - to make a decision that means that someone will die sooner than they would have if the decision had gone the other way….The task of health care bureaucrats is then to get the best value for resources they have been allocated….If a teenager can be expected to live another 70 years, saving that life gains 70 years, whereas a person of 85 can be expected to live another 5 years, then saving the 85-year-old will gain only 5 life-years. That suggests saving one teenager is equivalent to saving 14 85-year-olds”.

Not just some crazy professor hanging on through tenure and grabbing a bit of publicity. He was a department head at Princeton and still holds a prestigious chair in "bioethics".

Make no mistake. These are ruling class ethics he is paid to promote among the rest of us.

Academics such as Singer are part malignancy, part attention whore. I have heard of the horrible abuse inflicted on animals by those with such proclivities. Singer, and anyone who follows his ideas, ought to be made to feel sorry they were ever born.

Some years ago I found out that a childhood pal of mine, whom I hadn’t seen for decades, was charged with “sexual contact with an animal in the presence of a minor.” It was in the newspapers . Neighbors say he had done this and other weird stuff for years but law enforcement never responded to their complaints. He was such an odd duck that it is easy to imagine that he never had a girlfriend, or even a boyfriend. There were Asian-owned places near his house that would gladly have taken care of his physical needs for a reasonable price but, nope, he chose “sexual contact with an animal in the presence of a minor.”

I’d like to see Singer pretty that up.
