Dear Ukrainians,
First and foremost, regarding the Russian strike on the soldiers of the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade occurred in Zaporizhzhia region.
My condolences to all the families and loved ones of the fallen soldiers! It is a tragedy that could have been avoided. Defense Minister Umerov has reported to me on the measures taken to clarify all the circumstances of what happened, who was specifically involved, and what orders were given.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated in response to this tragedy. The relevant investigation is ongoing.
The main thing is to establish the complete truth about what happened and prevent such incidents from happening again. Every soldier in the combat zone – in the enemy’s line of fire and aerial reconnaissance – knows how to behave in the open, how to ensure safety.
Now, the investigation must provide honest answers to the families of the fallen soldiers and the society about how this tragedy occurred and whether any improper orders were issued.
Secondly, what I would like to say today. When we go through weeks like this, filled with pain and difficult discussions, it is important for people to understand that what weighs on their hearts is seen, and the necessary changes will be made.
This applies to many things, from negligence that can occur to the Soviet legacy and the terrible bureaucracy that prevents Ukraine and many in our defense forces from realizing their potential correctly and effectively.
We must protect Ukraine. And we will protect it – I have no doubt about that. Believing in Ukraine is knowing that Ukraine and Ukrainians can preserve their independence, will preserve it and reclaim their own.
But, just like after February 24th, this can be done together – and only together, in unity, caring for the state, for those next to you, for Ukrainians, no matter where they are. Preserving the unity of the people is the most important. And I am grateful to all those who make efforts for this.
And one more thing. Avdiyivka. Mariyinka. Lyman. Bakhmut. Kupiansk. Melitopol direction. Kherson region. The artillerymen of the 55th Zaporizhzhia Sich brigade. The 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. The 68th Separate Hunting Brigade. The 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. The 33rd and 31st separate mechanized brigades. Our powerful 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. The 82nd Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. I thank all of you, soldiers, who fight for Ukraine, who believe in Ukraine! Thank you to all the commanders who truly care for the people! Ukrainian special forces destroyed Russian radar worth $125m with HIMARS. Elite units posted drone footage documenting their kills of Zoopark-1 radar.
The Soviet system is designed to detect incoming enemy artillery fire and pinpoint the guns that fired the shells so they can be destroyed.
However, the radar themselves were targeted by precision rockets. With footage showing five of them being blown up by Ukrainian HIMARS. Such radar systems are expensive to build, and difficult to replace. Taking them out helps level the playing field between Russia and Ukraine.

In the past day, the enemy launched eight airstrikes and 26 artillery barrages in the Tavria direction. There were also 42 combat clashes, most of which were near Mariinka.

Day 620 of the russian full-scale military aggression against Ukraine continues.
During the day of November 5, there were 44x combat engagements. The enemy launched a total of 2x missile and 34x air strikes, 36x MLRS attacks at the positions of Ukrainian troops and various settlements. Also, the russian occupiers launched another strike on Ukraine, using 1x Kh-59 air-launched cruise missile and 1x Kh-31P guided missile. Air defense destroyed 1x Kh-59 missile. Unfortunately, the attacks have wounded civilians. An infrastructure facility, private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed or damaged.
The operational situation in east and south of Ukraine remains difficult.
VOLYN and POLISSYA AXIS: no significant changes. No signs of formation of an offensive group. Certain units of the armed forces of belarus continue their missions in the areas bordering Ukraine.
SIVERSHCHYNA and SLOBOZHANSHCHYNA AXIS: the adversary maintains its military presence in the areas of russia bordering Ukraine. The enemy continues its sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shelling Ukrainian settlements from the territory of russia and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine. Around 15x settlements came under enemy artillery and mortar fire, including Basivka, Myropillya, Iskryskivshchyna, Hrabovske (Sumy oblast), Pletenivka, Nesterne, Stroivka (Kharkiv oblast).
KUPYANSK AXIS: the enemy with air support conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Synkivka and northeast of Ivanivka (Kharkiv oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 5x attacks in the area. Also, the adversary launched an air strike near Nadiya (Luhansk oblast). The invaders fired artillery and mortars at the settlements of Topoli, Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove (Kharkiv oblast).
LYMAN AXIS: the invaders launched air strikes in the vicinities of Serebryanske forestry (Luhansk oblast) and Terny, Spirne, Vesele (Donetsk oblast). The occupiers fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Nevske, Bilohorivka (Luhansk oblast), Torske, Serebryanka, Spirne (Donetsk oblast).
BAKHMUT AXIS: the enemy made 4x failed attempts to regain lost ground near Klishchiivka and Andriivka (Donetsk oblast). At the same time, the invaders conducted assaults near Bohdanivka, Khromove and Pivdenne (Donetsk oblast), to no success. The Ukrainian defenders repelled another 5x attacks in that area. About 10x settlements came under artillery and mortar fire, including Minkivka, Khromove, Klishchiivka, New York (Donetsk oblast).
AVDIIVKA AXIS: the enemy with air support conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinities of Sjeverne, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske (Donetsk oblast), where the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 6x attacks. Also, the adversary launched air strikes in the vicinities of Oleksandropil, Avdiivka, Ocheretyne (Donetsk oblast). The enemy fired artillery and mortars at around 10x settlements, including Stepove, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, Netailove (Donetsk oblast).
MARYINKA AXIS: the adversary with air support conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of Maryinka (Donetsk oblast). The Ukrainian defenders repelled 17x attacks in that area. The invaders launched an air strike near Novomykhailivka (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements of Donetsk oblast, including Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, were under artillery and mortar fire of the occupiers.
SHAKHTARSKE AXIS: the adversary launched an air strike in the vicinity of Staromaiorske (Donetsk oblast). Around 10x settlements, including Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Urozhaine (Donetsk oblast), came under artillery and mortar fire.
ZAPORIZHZHIA AXIS: the invaders conducted failed assaults northwest of Verbove, Robotyne, north of Nesteryanka Pyatykhatky (Zaporizhzhia oblast). More than 20x settlements, including Poltavka, Chervone, Huliaipilske, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Kamyanske (Zaporizhzhia oblast), and Marhanets (Dnipropetrovsk oblast) came under artillery and mortar fire.
KHERSON AXIS: the occupiers launched air strikes in the vicinities of Respublikanets, Lvove, Tyahynka (Kherson oblast). The cities of Kherson and Ochakiv (Mykolaiv oblast) suffered from enemy artillery shelling.
At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue their offensive operation on Melitopol axis and offensive (assault) operations on Bakhmut axis, inflicting losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, exhausting the enemy all along the front line.
During the day of November 5, Ukrainian Air Force launched 10x air strikes on concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers. On top of that, Ukrainian air defense destroyed 4x reconnaissance UAVs.
The Ukrainian missile troops hit 3x artillery systems, 4x concentrations of troops, weapons and military equipment of the russian invaders.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have reported they completely encircled the city of Gaza and divided the coastal enclave in half.

DETAILS: Hagari stated that the IDF have completely encircled the city of Gaza and divided the Gaza Strip in half.
The Israeli forces headed by a reconnaissance unit of the Holani brigade “reached the coastline and are holding it”.
“Today there is north Gaza and south Gaza,” Hagari reported.
He noted that like before, the IDF will allow civilians to flee from the northern part of Gaza and go southwards.
Herewith, General Staff Chief Halevi stated that the Israeli military are “ready at any moment to go on the offense in the north” of the country since during the last few weeks they have been defending themselves from daily missile attacks from the Lebanese Hezbollah.
“We set a goal of restoring a significantly better security situation on the borders, not only in the Gaza Strip,” Halevi said during the assessment in the 210th Division in the north of Israel.
“We are ready at any moment to go on the offense in the north. We understand that it can happen, and we trust you that the defense here is strong,” he added.

The system, created in 2016, is designed to protect strategic installations against high-precision weapons (such as cruise missiles and smart bombs) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Pole-21 creates a dome that interferes with and suppresses equipment reliant on GPS and radio navigation systems.
The Russians claim that the range of Pole-21 is 60 kilometres, while according to Ukrainian intelligence, it is over 25 kilometres.
