My husband and I fuss about this twice per year.
I like DST. It reminds me of childhood, and getting to stay up and out later in the evening - lightning bugs, little kid baseball games under the street lights, lying outside on the grass watching the stars...
And I like it when we change again in the Fall - it means the holidays are coming, and all of that excitement.
Husband despises it all, and thinks it should be abolished.
(But he dutifully changes all the clocks - the ones that still need to be changed - early in the morning, while I’m still snoring.)
I’m on the left coast and have already set my clocks back, but the time change still messes with my sleep pattern for a few days.
I know I’m in a minority here but I happen to like changing the clock. It’s traditional and I love that. What difference does it make to those who rampage about it every year? The people in this country are such spoiled brats; according to them, everything must be changed because....well because they say so. Just MHO
Unfortunately...the dog’s clock doesn’t get set back.
i hate this time of the year...gettin dark at 4:30ish. Such a lonnnng stretch between now and Mid February when you finally notice its getting darker a little later.
Didn’t bother. In the Spring, it matters but in the Fall, it’s not going to make me late for anything. Quite the opposite. I’ll change them today. PC changed automatically of course.
I think it’s stupid. Something to do with farmers long ago? Like it made the day longer?
I quit wearing a watch decades ago. I ain’t into time, man....
It's a silly tradition and one that affects people physiologically because we're wired to nature and have been for millennia.

Britain, most of its allies, and many European neutrals soon followed. Russia and a few other countries waited until the next year, and the United States adopted daylight saving in 1918. Most jurisdictions abandoned DST in the years after the war ended in 1918, with exceptions including Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Ireland, and the United States.[34] It became common during World War II (some countries adopted double summer time), and was standardized in the U.S. by federal law in 1966, and widely adopted in Europe from the 1970s as a result of the 1970s energy crisis. I don't think the sun responds with more daylight hours because we change our clocks.

That happens to many just due to day length. Again, changing the clocks does not make the day longer. A less nonsensical approach would be for businesses and schools to adjust their hours to the SUN and DAY LENGTH.
It was almost getting dark before I got home at 7pm and was already dark when I left at 5am. Now it's going to be light on my way home but not for long. In another month or two it will be dark in both directions and adjusting a clock won't change that.

Mine are the microwave, coffee pot and stove [and apparently my little weather station thingie that did not roll over]
But I change them Saturday afternoon when I think about it...just a rebel that way.
I’m fully retired now and a clock has very little meaning to me anymore. A calendar has no meaning.
Life is truly good right now.

Somehow, I managed to sleep an extra hour this morning
I can’t get over how neat it is that my Citizen watch changes time without my involvement.
Does anybody really know what time it is?
