The American Civil Liberties Union sued former President Donald Trump or his administration more than 400 times during his tenure in the White House.
But now the ACLU is siding with Trump in the criminal case that charges he conspired to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power — telling a judge that a gag order she’s imposed sweeps too broadly in restraining Trump’s speech.
“[I]f we allow his free speech rights to be abridged, we know that other unpopular voices — even ones we agree with — will also be silenced,” said Anthony D. Romero, executive director of the ACLU. “As much as we disagreed with Donald Trump’s policies, everyone is entitled to the same First Amendment protection against gag orders that are too broad and too vague.”

You know that a kangaroo court persecuting conservatives is really bad when the ACLU also says that they are pushing it.
It’s too high profile of a case for them not to at least say something, or their whole ruse would be blown.

Ah yes. The ACLU. Always there to defend all of our rights except the most important one. Oh wait and they also are fine with the govt squashing “misinformation”. But aside from govt speech and arms oppression the ACLU is there for us.
This ranks up there to when the ACLU supported Rush over keeping his medical records private.
I saw this coming a mile away. All of this will be thrown out on appeal for exactly the reasons stated.
Because to do otherwise would in the long run strip everyone else of their rights.

The communists at the ACLU does this once in a while so they can claim they are true to their mission statement. It’s a crock. They are a corrosive nation killing cancer 90% of the time.
