Bill Maher, of all people, put it quite succinctly when he said something to the effect of, “If my son thinks he’s a pirate, should I let a doctor gouge out his eye and amputate a leg?”
Bill Maher used to be a screaming lefty, but the left has moved so far out there that even he can’t support it anymore.
Being a good parent means guiding your children and preventing them from making poor decisions that they are not mature enough to make. It DOES NOT mean indulging them in every foolish fantasy or fad.
