There are two types of nuclear assets, strategic and tactical. Theu USN and the USAF control all of the strategic nuclear weapons. The Army is entrusted with some tactical nukes. I don’t trust the Army one bit.

I was Army and had a nuclear weapons clearance, we needed the capability of dealing with the Russian hordes if they started overrunning Europe.
