I was a daily cold-can-of-peas consumer for decades.

Then, about five years ago, the quality started going down, for every brand, so I guess it is a national problem.

I like a trace of salt and sugar in every bite. I also like my peas to have soft exterior skin, and a mushy and moist interior.

Today, every brand of canned peas has almost no salt or sugar, the pea shell is thick and firm, and the interior is dense, dry, and tasteless.

I have moved on to green beans, which are a distant second place to good peas, but the same price, and still edible.

Have you tried Le Sueur? Those were always my fave.

I really like the taste & texture of frozen peas over the canned variety.

Try Le SUEUR sweet peas.
More expensive but worth it.
