Nothing more than a pathetic effort to seek attention. The guy was never very good even in his prime. Now he’s just a washed-up athlete and everyone, including him, knows it.
A couple years ago some NFL team agreed to give him a tryout. He jerked them around and ended it never showing up for the scheduled tryout.
