I've never heard it laid out like this by a former official at the DoD and of course a decorated colonel.

I think he speaks for many...

Americans realize that there hasn’t been a war worth fighting, for a very long time.

The war we need to be fighting is at the border.

“He is one of the very few billionaires that won’t join the war party.”

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Putin is a billionaire.
And he not only JOINED the war party as you say...
He actually invited it and started it!

Tell MacGregor to ask Putin if he is willing to stop his warmongering and war-party and bring back the 300.000 Russian troops which are illegally invading sovereign Ukraine right now.

I’m not sure Putin will listen to Macgregor very much...

Tell China to get out of Tibet. Oh, that’s not something that matters to Democrats, so nevermind.

And four US Senators with R’s next to their names have a thirst for blood.

They want long-range missiles in Ukraine next.

Roger Wicker

Susan Collins

Tom Cotton

Lindsey Graham

Pathetic.

Sounds soooo much like the isolationists in 1941 who still thought we shouldn't fight the Nazis. Not a few of them were SERVING army and navy officers. Charles Lindberg was their darling. Another was Joe Kennedy, who had been FDR's ambassador to Great Britain.

Their credentials didn't make them right.

This fake “we only want peace” propaganda has been a part of the Russian playbook since the days of the Bolsheviks in 1917. They find some useful idiot in the West to bleat for peace at all costs, including the freedom of Cossacks, Poles, Hungarians, and now Ukrainians. Not falling for it.

Lumpy MacgGregor should be ashamed of himself. America should always stand for liberty and for people around the world willing to fight for theirs. Anyone who doesn’t support that is a either a coward, an idiot, or a Russian shill.

Lol!! Liberty? Ukraine is closing churches. Only way those people get freedom is if Putin takes over all of Ukraine.

Funny someone in oppresive USA could ever talk about freedom these days.

The war started in 2014 when a US/EU engineered coup of the duly elected government of Ukraine spawned the separatist movement in the Donbass and precipitated the unopposed Russian annexation of Crimea. This shooting war has been ongoing for nine years.

In 2007 Putin drew a red line that Russia would not accept the expansion of NATO into Ukraine. The US/NATO ignored Russia’s red line and continued the process of NATO expansion into Ukraine. Putin reacted to the provocation.

The failure of Ukraine to implement the 2015 Minsk Accords brokered and signed by France and Germany along with Russia and Ukraine was supposed to resolve the conflict. The Ukrainian government failed to give greater autonomy to the separatists in Donbass per the agreement. The Donbass would remain as part of Ukraine. Later Angela Merkel would say that the real purpose of the Minsk Accords was to buy time for Ukraine to rearm.

While this in no way is a defense of Russia’s two invasions of Ukraine, it is a statement of the events that led to the current situation. Nothing happens in a vacuum. The war did not begin in February 2022.

Macgregor doesn’t speak for Americans. What gave him that idea?

Macgregor is the same sort of person who looks away when he sees thugs mug someone on the subway.
No, worse... he and his ilk praise the thugs and blame the victim for being on the subway in the first place.

So he wants the U.S. to screw Ukraine for a third time. You can forget about the U.S. as a World power.

So your argument is that the US is not free, but Russia is and therefore should take over Ukraine? OK, gotcha.

I don’t give an F if Putin takes over Ukraine, nukes them, enslaves them, annexes them, splits them up, or makes them all dress in drag.

It is far away and is no US interest other than the corrupt class.

Not my problem.

Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn’t sure which category to put you in, but now I do.

Cowards are by their very nature motivated solely by their own self interest.

Its always the 1930s and whoever we don’t like is always Hitler. Anybody who doesn’t support ever more war is just a coward who is probably a tool of our enemies.

Most people outgrow the kind of crap above when they finish grade school. Some never do.
