WESTPORT, Conn. (WFSB/Gray News) - A Westport man had his Aston Martin carjacked from inside his garage over the weekend, police said.
The attack was caught on surveillance video in the garage.
Police said they responded to a residence on Bayberry Lane at 3:50 p.m. Sunday for a report of a burglary and carjacking. “It is believed that the suspects arrived at the residence in a dark blue BMW, as this vehicle was seen fleeing with the stolen vehicle,” police said.
The victim suffered minor injuries but declined medical attention.
The blue Aston Martin and dark blue BMW were reported to be last seen traveling north on Route 8.

If his Aston was equipped with 007 gadgets, he might have averted the carjacking.
CT is a Blue state. I imagine the victim thought the increased crime would occur elsewhere.
Perp is lucky it wasn’t James Bond’s Aston Martin. He may well have been perforated by a round or three from a Walther PPK.
Always be aware of your surroundings. If it looks like someone is following you, keep going ... to the nearest police station.

I have a friend who had a 1965 Porsche 912 that he spent years restoring. When he was done he spent another year in constant terror that it would be stolen. He sold it because he couldn’t take the stress. One of the unfortunate downsides of having nice cars.
With that gigantic four car garage, one can reasonably expect his net worth to be well into the eight figures.
Yeah, that was my exact thought. I hope he packs now.

North on route 8 leads to Naugatuck, my home town. Back in the day the home of the US Rubber plant. The Naugatuck river didn’t flow. It slithered. The ruins of the plant were used in a scene of Tom Cruises version of War of the Worlds. The town smelled like burning tires. The residents were inundated by toxic chemicals. Apparently I was unaffected. Perhaps living under a toxic cloud isn’t that bad for you.
