Harvard is named WORST school for free speech - scoring BELOW zero - after nine professors and researchers faced calls to be disciplined or fired for voicing 'controversial' opinions

Harvard University has been ranked the worst school for free speech in the U.S. - with the Ivy League institution being awarded zero points out of a possible 100.

The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression releases a similar list of rankings for American institutions of higher education every year.

For 2023, Harvard - which has never performed well by FIRE's standards - was dubbed an 'abysmal' place for free speech.

Despite being arguably the most elite academic institution in the country, Harvard's 0-point score was a full 11 points behind the next worst school on the list, fellow Ivy League University of Pennsylvania.

FIRE added that Harvard's result was 'generous' and that its actual score by its calculations was less than zero at -10.69.

The school's score tanked for a number of reasons, not the least of which being the nine professors and researchers at Harvard who faced calls to be punished or fired in the last few years based on things they'd said or written.

Seven of the nine were ultimately disciplined.

The director of polling and analytics at FIRE, Sean Stevens, told the New York Post that Harvard has consistently ranked among the bottom tier of schools on the list, but was surprised a school was able to 'fall below zero.'

'They've had so many scholar sanctions,' he said.

A school's score is calculated based on factors like how strong its policies in favor of free speech are and how many professors, students, and visitors to campus have been targeted by school authorities for their publicly held positions.

At Harvard, in the last five years, some of the seven free speech incidents have included the school's decision to revoke conservative activist Kyle Kashuv's acceptance because of racist comments he made on social media as a 16-year-old...

What controversial opinions did they express? Did they say water is wet? Did they say ice is cold? Did they say Biden is addicted to ice cream? What, exactly?

Harvard makes a mockery of its official motto “Veritas” (truth). Truth no longer matters. What matters is whether something conforms to the liberal narrative.

Thou shalt not express heresies. The punishment is banishment to the outermost uncivilized regions of the universe.

At least that’s how they see it.

Some of the best Communist spies in America came from Harvard, Yale, NYU, Hunter, Un. Calif. System, etc.

If you look up Alice Wiedner/Weidner and her reports entitled “Socialist Scholars Conferences” from the late 60s, you will see the mix of old Soviet supporting professors and the younger mixed Reds.

Today’s campus reds are their children and grandchildren, aka “Academic Red Diaper Babies”.

FIRE-s work is changing things. They are suing universities and winning many court cases. They’re part of the reason why things have been getting slightly better lately.

Sadly for our country and for our civilization, the Long March through the institutions has been a success. All that's left are the common folk and their 2nd amendment. Everything else has been subverted.

Much like how you have to pull up the weeds in your yard every so often to keep it healthy, we should’ve been doing Palmer Raids every so often in our schools and universities (along with the entertainment industry) to keep the weeds of leftism from taking root and destroying the culture, educational system and the minds & souls of our children.

Ironically, we have Palmer-type raids everyday in this country, conducted by the FBI. Against conservative constitutional patriots.

What is being done to the Jan 6th martyrs is a disgrace, a national shame. A blot upon our history.

I had a 4.0 in college until I ran into a required upper-division general education course called the World Problematique. One of the required readings was Algore’s, The Earth in Balance. We had to write a critical essay on every chapter. I wrote the truth and was continually chastised by the professor and given poor grades on every paper. I refused to cave to his ideology and ended up with a C in the course.
He even called me a racist in class after reading one of my papers to the class. However, a black woman in the class spoke up and defended me telling the professor that she didn’t think there was anything racist in my paper. She was then chastised by the professor.
Academia is full of this nonsense.

Wonder whatever happened to those Weather Underground folks?

They all went into education, after they stopped bombing buildings, and have now educated generations of people, who are ready to do their bidding.

You do have to give them credit. They grew up, smartened up, and realized that a few bombs were pointless. You really want to bring down a country you mess with its schools.
