Walmart's policy requiring senior citizens to present a drivers license to purchase beer or wine is harassment and is blatantly discriminatory on the basis of age.

I’m one of those people that... “”especially if”” lefties hate a particular corporation... I will generally support it, unless the corporation is hard-leftist. If the left hates it, I generally like it and vice versa. This has been a hard and fast rule for decades now... and it has only grown “more set in stone” over the past few years with all of this “woke” BS. It started with the Clintoons PC crap and has spiraled into the cluster-eff that is is now.

When they ask my age at the grocery store to enter in the computer I always say “Jan 1, 1899” They look at me knowing that isn’t true, but I tell them to put it in.

No it’s not. The policy of proofing EVERYONE prevents the underaged from passing because they look older. It’s a solid but annoying policy.

Well, that works I suppose but definitely old school and low tech. Most companies that issue cell phones to their employees just use the “Find My Phone” feature to keep track of where their employees are at.

The local deli here in Southern Maryland does that. I always get out the credit card and DL when I walk to the register. I figure they just ID everybody to avoid the problem of missing an underage person who looks older.

Yep, we were in Tenn. a few years ago, I went into conven store to get a 12 pack. The kid at the register,(who looked like he had fallen face first into a fishing tackle box) carded me, I told him, “Son, I have underwear older than you, and I still wear it.
State law in Tenn, they card everybody.
