My experience as a non smoker and observer is, pot heads aren’t ever really sober. You can’t tell, because it is like a drunk who drinks a beer for breakfast, a shot with coffee, pitcher of beer at lunch, a shot bottle at break time, and all night while at home. So it is with “casual smokers”.
Some potheads can do anything stoned, even a job interview. Others can’t leave the house or do anything...usually the rookies. So yes, thc can be dangerous for driving.

I guess one way to answer the question is to look at overall traffic accident statistics in states which have recently legalized the recreational use of pot. My state is one of those, and I smell the odor of it literally everywhere, including on the highway. If being high on pot made one a bad driver, I would expect to see more accidents from careless driving now as compared to before, but so far, I do not.
That’s a theory...I guess.
