A good size Ken Onion Leek is always in my pocket. Not costly or TactiCool but very deployable.

At my age, if it comes down to knives, I will just sit down, bend over, put my head between my legs and kiss my arse goodby.

Weird article - seems to just be a sales pitch for four alright knives but not particularly useful.
Prefer my Gerber folding knife for daily use and my Marine Corps issue Kabar for heavy duty stuff.

Mental masturbation. Get a Spyderco, don’t clip it to your pocket. It’s there when you need it.

Yeah, I don’t think I’d want any of those knives, and the article itself is pretty useless. I have an old Gerber folder that I’ve carried for 20-some years, and I just replaced a Victorinox Spartan after nearly 40 years. The old one was about half sharpened away and the joints were all sprung. And then I have an old kukri that I use for machete type work around the yard.
I own at least a dozen other knives of various types (not counting kitchen knives), but those are the main ones I use.

And anyone who uses the word "Tactical" is full of shit.
But I think you knew this, and are just trying to see what responses you'd get. 8~)

Stick it back in the oven.

I agree. I see enthusiasts selling all sorts of knives on a Georgia outdoors trader website I frequent and it’s amusing to see all the verbal gymnastics, spinning and other BS that goes with some aficionado trying to sell off a folder knife for 4-500 dollars.
Tactical, CQB, EDC, special metals and treating, blah, blah, blah. All words intended to explain off why you need that knife over a basic Glock for the same price or less. They’re almost as bad as the guy(s) trying to gin up interest in collecting Rolex watches....

Nope, not one of those would I buy, nor carry if someone gave me one as a gift. Looks like they are picks by someone who never really used a knife for anything serious.

There is also the Church Knife for Sunday Go To Meetings.
Small/medium dress knife for cleaning your finger nails during the sermon.

I've got a CRKT Fire Spark, 4", assisted thumb open blade in black. It's a really nice practical size knife. 100% legal to carry in my state. I've had it a long time and can't remember what it cost but it was very reasonable.

I perfected the use of my

I carry a kbar folder,
It’s a lock back with a good sized blade.
Not cheap but not as expensive as the fancy name
Brands. Has a clip on one side and a loop lanyard so I can drop it if I need to use both hands. Best one I’ve ever used.
