God seems willing to let up stew in our own misery. That would be the optimistic assessment, I think. More likely, if more pessimistic, is that what we're experiencing is God's judgment.

That would be the optimistic assessment, I think. More likely, if more pessimistic, is that what we're experiencing is God's judgment. Maybe, although that would be a sad belief if the millions, if not billions, of truly innocent people on this Earth are forced to suffer along.
