Ever wonder why there are food deserts and retail deserts in certain areas?
How are people seeking the wealth of others going to get money if others don’t carry cash and can cancel cards so easily?
Rats! Just when I was going to whip out my EBT card!
I hate totally cashless places, but I can understand why some places decide to go that route (particularly music and sports venues). However, I do wish that they are had price prominently displayed to avoid sticker shock.
Agree. I went cashless for years and just last year my wife and I went “mostly cash”, except for things like buying gas, which is MUCH more convenient with a credit card at the pump.
But it changes the way you look at money. You value it more. And you are not being tracked - at all.
“There are many unbanked groups, including BIPOC and low-income communities, that rely on cash to pay for goods and services.”

immigrants, legal and illegal use cash. they do not trust banks.
I would hate to be that Cashier or store employee on the front lines, when the wrong kind of customer is told the store “cannot accept” his dollar bills anymore.
“What? All a sudden, my money aint good enough for you guys?
Is that what you’re telling me?”
Good idea, wrong reasons
Does she look like a Hutt?
The world is pushing for digital currency but now LA want to ban the equivalent of that?
This is actually a good move.
Every level of government should be protecting the use of plain old cash.
Yum Foods is considering stopping taking it altogether.
I actually agree with rejecting a cashless society. Not for the reason given, but whatever works.
Hate the idea. I’m a small woman and use my bank card at local stores, don’t like to carry too much cash. Even though I live in a safe neighborhood, you never know.
“Resisting the move to cashless commerce is the right thing to do, even if their reasons are pure leftist garbage.”
The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
I saw a video of an honor roll student trying to rob an Uber driver.
The driver was like, "I don't have cash! This is an Uber! Everyone pays with their phones!"
The scholar gave up and exited the vehicle.
The LA city council will never be my friend, even if they accidentally do the right thing once.
So racist. Blacks are clearly too stupid to get a bank card. They need us white folk to save them..Just like they’re too stupid to get an ID to vote. We will help them there too. Who are the real racist?
This is a good thing.
I want every state to eliminate non cash businesses. The US dollar is legal tender.
Life in LA is like having a cashless life the inflation gave the gougers the green light.
I know a local business that went cashless because thieves kept robbing the office safe at the restaurant overnight on a regular basis. About a year prior, the manager at the nearby Cracker Barrel was killed in a robbery just before the restaurant was set to open up for the day.
The Cabal can’t decide whether to ban cash or require it!
