Detroit Bus Driver Charged in Pedestrian’s Death; Her 2nd Fatality in 8 Years
“The SWAN shuttle was stopped when the bus moved intro the lane. The shuttle began moving and ran into the side of the bus. “

Florida Bus is now going to compete with Florida Man, Florida Woman, and Florida Boy/Girl?
After thinking about what you wrote, my guess is the bus driver thought “I hate these autonomous vehicles because they are going to steal my job.” Being irate about that, cut him off intentionally — “I’ll show you!”
Yes, bus drivers are very aggressive. They have demanding schedules and they know that that are big and people will back off. So they push their way into traffic and force their way into the next lane over.
I didn’t see that. It appeared to me the SWAN shuttle remained stopped with the bigger bus next to it.
I saw the driverless shuttle start moving from a stopped position and hit the bus which was moving all along. Now I’m watching on my phone in bright light but I tried to use the backgrounds to establish relative and absolute movement.
“We hope you enjoyed the ride.”
Sooo....the takeaway is that these systems are twice as safe as Asian women drivers?
