Vivek Ramaswamy Paid Wikipedia Editors to Erase His Soros Fellowship and Covid Work
New Republic ^ | August 21, 2023 | Prem Thakker

The 2024 candidate, who joins other elite-educated Republicans in cosplaying as a truth-telling populist while offering no actual solutions to improve people’s material conditions, has reportedly used some of his millions of dollars to pay a Wikipedia editor to scrub his past.

Mediaite reports that Ramaswamy seems to have paid Wikipedia editor “Jhofferman,” to remove information from his page that he presumably thought would damage his candidacy in the Republican primary. A few days later, he announced his 2024 bid.

The editor scrubbed off information related to Ramaswamy receiving the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans in 2011, during his time as a Yale law student. Paul Soros is the older brother of billionaire democratic donor George Soros, who has been the subject of perennial antisemitic conspiracy theories peddled by the right. (The fellowship Ramaswamy received is dedicated to helping immigrants and children of immigrants pursue graduate school.)

Liberal Source. Take with grain of salt.

There is so little about Vivek Ramaswampy out there that it is worth reading.

Much more at link.

Don't see any conservative source publishing this information yet.

I have issues with Ramaswamy, but I would hold off on making this one of those issues.

I would want more than a “reportedly used some of his millions of dollars” characterization.

It is the “New Republic” after all.

Scanning the history of his page (dates back to July 9; cannot tell if anything earlier was literally scrubbed from the website) reveals the details of the Paul & Daisy Soros award.

If it was “innocent work” as a college student, who was maybe at the time naive about the global reach of the open borders saint - Soros, then an honest explanation would have been better than scrubbing the history. Either he knew it was wrong or he did not want to defend what may at the time have been a naive honest mistake,

Why pay? Anybody can edit Wikipedia articles. All you have to do is create an account and go for it. This smells like an attack to gin up the right.

I read the link and did not read what this Indian lawyer did toward the China Virus 2019 Plandemic.

“wamy receiving the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans in 2011”

Sounds problematic.

True or not?

I like much of what Ramaswamy has to say. But he is in favor of the Deep State’s TPP. That agreement would destroy what’s left of the American middle class. For that reason alone, I say to hell with Vivek Ramaswamy.

So if it’s Biden vs. Ramaswamy in 2024, I will write in Donald Trump. That would be a throw-away vote. But I will sleep easy.

This has been in the news repeatedly from several sources. Ramaswamy spent lots of money to try and hide his Soros and WEF past, the fact that he only recently became a Republican, and so forth. He is a fake Republican, a trojan horse.

I have paid to have stuff removed from places, everything is pay for play.

if he had not paid I would be far more concerned.

Regardless of how unlikely I am to vote for The Rami Swami I am happy that he is running.

there are a lot of people in this country who are actually constitutionally qualified, you would think we could have a number of decent candidates who are not traditional politicians who could be considered.

recently someone mentioned using the Rico act against some former president, I would argue it should be used against both the dnc and rnc.

if anyone wants to debate that rico applies I will put on a Whig and do that.

we are in the world of faseboox, x’tter, tack-tic, snap-that, modernia, whaizer, littlesoft, and tramyzon etc

should they not have and fund their own parties?

Like Nascar, our representatives should proudly wear patches for their expertly tailored attire.

Should be used against the Meritless Garland and the Fey Wray.

Then on the DHS.

The cited source article is better, with more detail:

And Ramaswamy calls for cutting aid to Israel, giving Taiwan to China in 2028, and more. You’re on board with this?

The Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans is not related to any of the devious projects of George Soros.

But I can understand why Vivek might want to distance himself from this wonderful fellowship, and the money he received to go to college. Because people with ill intent try to tie Vivek to Soros. George Soros.

Even though they know better, they insinuate Vivek is tied to George Soros.

And then there is the crap about Viivek being tied to the WEF. I’m not sure how many times that needs to be debunked, but still. People will make that false claim.
