We have a family of Falcons in our neighborhood that has old growth trees. They really have eyes bigger than their maximum load, because several of us have had mangled but still struggling squirrels dropped in our yards. Eventually the falcon lands and sections it out in pieces that are a more reasonable weight to gain altitude with.
Lots of folks have been killed and injured in Falcons!
