The United States has crashed out of the Women's World Cup after losing a dramatic penalty shootout against Sweden.
The Americans created most of the chances during the match – but were foiled at key moments by Swedish goalkeeper Zećira Mušović, who made crucial stops against Lindsey Horan and Alex Morgan.
The Swedes will play Japan in the Women’s World Cup quarterfinals on Friday.

The US Team did have the most chances and for the most part Sweden never really had a serious chance to score, it looked like if they were still playing Sweden would never score.
The US team had multiple chances to win it on penalty kicks but Rapinoe and two other players blew their chance and the winning Swedish kick was initially blocked and then trickled in by a fraction of an inch, only an instant replay showed that it went in, it was really close, but Sweden wins and the US team will be flying home tomorrow.
Love Sweden!! I’m all in for ANY country that beats these America hating bitches
