What?
No sign of drugs is far different than no drugs were found in the vehicle.
Three Marines dead and no sign of foul play?
Sure. Three marines all just coincidentally happen to die in the same car at the same time every day.
They need NCIS and Gibbs .
…..
USMC required vaccines.
But even so. The chances of all three dying of Suddenly at the same time are nil.
I vote for fentanyl.
not enough info to know anything at this point.
but it does seem strange.
Carbon monoxide?
Must be the water.
Seriously, wonder if any exhaust trouble?
No idea how hot it was but if three adults fell asleep in a hot poorly ventilated car, they could buy the farm.
Hampstead... Speedway Gas Station that closes at midnight so their site says. This is off Coastal Federal Hiway 17— if they came from Lejeune and took the ferry to go South to Wilmington (the potential liberty city, Marines on a pass) they would come back that way. It’s 36 +/- miles from base. Perhaps all 3 had some beers and could not return to base that way and took a nap. Damn hot— left the car running with A/C on— monoxide.
This is Pender County, NC-— their “case” for coroner who might be incompetent or a funeral home director- same thing.
All speculation posting here. But it is a really damn shame 3 young men— key elements of a rifle company command— all dead at the same time. This should have NCIS on it like NOW! Blood chemistry the works. Really terrible. God Bless them and Semper Fidelis!
Carfentanil? (no pun intended). Much more powerful than fentanyl. There are more powerful fentanyl analogues than carfentanil also. Suicide pact? Have to wait for toxicology. What a shame, but 3 at the same time with no sign of foul play : inadvertent poisoning or group suicide. IMHO, of course. Heartfelt condolences to all people related.
If no drugs, sleeping with motor running on a road trip? CO2?
Gotta love the speculations....
Properly running modern (anything fuel injected with an oxygen sensor and a catalytic converter) vehicles produce very little carbon monoxide.
Additionally, even if the AC is turned to “recirc”, outside air is still brought into the vehicle, it’s never 100% recirc and that is by design.
