We raise our children to believe human life is disposable for any reason at all, be it convenience, cost, disability, unwanted, etc. How can people be surprised when human life is treated as being disposable.
There are deeper philosophical and chemical reasons for the social chaos. Primarily the undercurrent belief that there is no objective reality as each individuals perception of the world is valid. And secondly...people’s perception of reality is being affected by constant exposure to mind altering substances. Alcohol, nicotine are mild in comparison, but we got opiates, amphetamines, cannabis, and psychedelics really messing up already confused minds. Sadly, we’ll keep hearing about such social atrocities, Darwin awards, and “he was such a nice person” reactions.
