God I miss Johnny Carson. Carson was late night comedy. Today we have hate night “comedy.”

I have been watching Johnny lately on some obscure nose-bleed section station and the opening monologues are like opening a time capsule. It’s nostalgic looking back when people knew how to behave, were courteous to each other, intelligent, and didn’t have to resort to vulgarities to get their point across.
Man, that’s the truth.
I also remember Paul Harvey’s joke about Biden. Supposedly when Joe Biden stopped running in the 1988 primary campaign, he said, “Well, you won’t have Joe Biden to kick around anymore.” Since Richard Nixon was still alive at that date, everyone got the joke.
I doubt many of the younger generations will get that last part.
