A 24-year-old transgender socialist who referred to herself as a 'poly, kinky trans, lesbian' announced her bid to unseat a Queens assemblyman accused of sexual abuse and become Albany's first openly trans legislator.
Émilia Decaudin announced that she is running for the District 37 Assembly seat in an interview with THE CITY on Tuesday.
Decaudin said she would run against Assembly member Juan Ardila, who has resisted calls from party leaders to resign over accusations of sexual misconduct.
She credits her decision to run with the 'the lack of leadership in the district right now' along with a need for trans rights legislation and housing reform in the state legislature.
'There were a lot of people in the community who responded to this vacuum of leadership, and were asking me, 'What's going on? Like, is this something you're thinking of doing?' Decaudin said to THE CITY.
'Those are the questions that regular liberal or progressive legislators aren't asking. They are trying to do the best that they can now, and that's great, and I support them,' she added.

'It's official,' she tweeted on Tuesday. 'I'm a democratic socialist running for Assembly District 37 in Western Queens to be the first transgender legislator in New York, and to fight for a State that works for working people, not the rich and powerful.'

'The promise of New York as a sanctuary for the marginalized and oppressed falls flat when people simply can't afford to live here,' she wrote on her campaign website.
'With your help, we will build a State where housing is affordable, where utilities are affordable, where the air is clean, where the streets are safe, and where a good, union job that pays a living wage is within everyone's reach,' she added.

A prison will do. An asylum might be better. I don’t like QUEERS, they should be off the streets.

Yeah, and it looks like NYC deserves both of them. Such creatures have so much publicity ‘cause the denizens of that EastCoast SH**hole approve of it. Have for years.
Movement of such creatures, and the ones who support them, should be towards NYC and similar blue city cesspits.
