Manson family killer Leslie Van Houten's recent whiff of freedom will not be snuffed out by California Gov. Gavin Newsom ... he says he won't block her upcoming parole.
Newsom's office announced the decision in a Friday afternoon news dump, saying the governor would not challenge an earlier appeals court decision clearing the way for Van Houten's release.

Liberals have been letting criminals out to save the budget for their green projects. Leslie Van Houten is 73. They probably figure the opportunity for embarrassment, like Leslie killing a bunch of kids or something, is low. That’s probably the deciding factor. Willie Horton, serving a life sentence, was being let out for weekend furloughs. He was murdering people and then reporting for prison at the beginning of each week. Apparently, the lesson wasn’t learned.
If Newsom really was a Manson Family killer, that could affect his presidential chances.

There should have been a comma or semi-colon after the word KILLER, otherwise it could be seen as saying California Gov. is not only the killer, but also that now he won’t block his own parole.
On Leslie Van Houten, She and others who murdered should have been executed back then at end of the trial.
Seeing as she was not, she may as well be released to live out the remainder of her life. It would be that much less money the tax payers have to pay for her expenses.
I feel the exact same way about Sirhan Sirhan.
I used to feel very differently.
Release him to return to what remains of his family in Jordan. These are old, now spiritually broken people who probably just want to be left alone. I do not see them as a threat to the average American.
No doubt as long as the now 95 years old Ethel Kennedy remains alive, she’s going to demand that her adult children raise strong objections to his release.
Two of Robert’s sons do approve of that release;
RFk Jr. and Douglas Kennedy.
Please note that the Beach Boys recorded one of Manson’s songs. Dennis Wilson was a friend of Manson and introduced him to Terry Melcher, Doris Day’s son who owned a recording studio. Melcher refused to sign Manson after personally witnessing what a lunatic he was and it is thought that this caused Manson to order the horrific attack on Melcher’s house, then rented out to pedophile Roman Polanski and his wife Miss Trego of The Beverly Hillbillies, Sharon Tate. Leslie Van Houten did not take part in the Tate murders but did a day later at the LaBiancas.
