Kind of like what happened to the “Me Too” movement. That got dropped like a hot potato once it started taking out leftists.
Yes! Thank you! Yes! I knew there was a better example, but I couldn't bring it to mind. The "Me Too" movement! It's so gone. Look who it took out! Matt Lauer. Kevin Spacey. Harvey Weinstein. It was aimed at Donald Trump, and it took out numerous lefties!
So it was dropped. Bang. Gone.
Have you ever had a building you saw for years, maybe you grew up in some place in this building was there your whole life. And then someone buys the property and demolishes the old building, and builds something new.
And that old building... so solid, so permanent, so much a part of the landscape... is... gone! You can't even remember exactly where it was! After a few years, you can't remember what it looked like.
That's the way the "Me Too" movement is.
Another one from farther back is the "MoveOn.org" remember that? It was founded to take attention away from Monica Lewinsky and the other Slick Willy scandals. We were supposed to "move on." It's never mentioned any more, although it apparently still exists and still gives out small amounts of money to left-wing causes. Which is great. Sucks money out of lefties and has zero impact.
Now that you mention it, I can't remember the last time I saw one of those silly little pink "kitty" hats.
