There are some near future options to augment the back discs with substances back disc cells make, but otherwise, stem cell therapy is available, but there's concern around cancer using them in the semi-toxic back disc structure (it risks making the stem cells “crazed”).

Otherwise, back disc replacement is an option that is better than fusion, at least.

Finally, there was a study showing Urolithin A could help grow back discs in mice, at a rate I recall being around 2,500 mg a day, but it hasn't been done in humans at that amount.
