Well, we have all questioned moves made by Trump, but in the end he came out on top. With the Lord's help he will come out on top again. 🙂

I gave Trump 47 dollars to fight the lawless prosecutors who are doing these lawfare actions for political purposes only, & to also express my support for him to become the 47th President of the United States. 🙂

A settlement would’ve inferred guilt.

The DOJ would have used any agreement to settlement against Trump and continue with the prosecution. They would used any statement made during settlement negotiations as evidence of guilt.

This prosecution is not about “upholding the law”, this is about taking out Trump before the 2024 primary elections begin.

See, Trump made the communist dictatorship come after him. They didn’t want to. It’s Trump’s fault. It’s not like they have been coming after the guy since 2015 nonstop.

What this story tells me is that the voters do not approve of these methods to get rid of Trump.

"...negotiate a settlement with the hopes that Attorney General Merrick Garland and the agency would want to avoid bringing charges against the former president..."

What could possibly go wrong?

The terms of the settlement would include never running for office and admitting guilt to the charges.

Sure, accept a plea deal so they can prosecute you on another charge right afterwards. Anybody with half-a-brain, especially someone who has been systematically attacked by the media, the FBI, the DOJ, State Attorney Generals, and members of his own party for 7+ years, knows a plea deal isn’t going to end the attacks.

"It would also legitimize the bogus charges against PDJT.”

It would also give credence to even more bogus charges that the traitorous Deep Staters would pull out of their keisters (which they would).

I like Trump, and fully support him, but he should be careful of from whom he takes advice.

I agree. He seems woefully naive in who he selects for his administration and now his defence. So many have stabbed him, repeatedly, in the back.

Exactly , the bad advice posting here is very scary .
Trump made a huge mistake not settling .
And his continued vicious personal attacks against the Prosecution
is another major mistake .
None of the Top Law Firms in FL will touch him .
All these Top firms want to maintain respectful relations with the DOJ for their current and upcoming clients . Trumps behavior has made himself radioactive .

Any attempt at a settlement was always going to be a trap.
The DOJ was never going to approach this in good faith.

If Trump had agreed to settle one case, the DOJ would have filed another one.

Where does it say DOJ would have agreed to anything? Trump was indicted because that was the plan all along. It’s why the Archives refused to help him pack his stuff.

So you have secret insider knowledge of the DOJ plans ?
Does any one in your family work for the DOJ and told you this plan ?
Are you a lawyer and have the DOJ do this before to you ?
