An excerpt of comments from Richard Baris of People's Pundit on political operatives, posted on twitter by Grace Chong

“Trump is a transactional guy, right? Let’s say DeSantis gets out & 100% endorses & campaigns for him & we all give him $. He’ll forgive us right?

I don’t speak for Trump. I don’t even know the man. I can tell you this. He is business oriented but this is different.

In my mind it would take a lot. You may need to go to Mar-A-Lago & bend over the desk & get branded w/ Trump on your ass check before he forgives you for this one.

Loyalty means a lot to him.” @Peoples_Pundit

If the polls don't improve for DS do you see him pulling out to save face?

Then he should look for loyalty when he's interviewing and vetting people to work for him. Looking for loyalty in people who don't owe him any is not particularly wise or realistic.

Trump has had many people that have turned out to be backstabbers, and disloyal to him.

Trump can try to assess for loyalty, but many people are so use to lying, you can’t ever know if they are lying to you or not.

People like sessions, cuccinelli,

and desantis.

Has Trump promised not to run in 2028 if he loses again?

That “Branding’ visual makes for one hilarious visual, whether one likes Trump (which I do) or not.
Politics doesn’t need to be serious all the time, right?

I doubt Trump will ever support DeSantis. He doesn’t get anything from him, and he doesn’t agree with him. DeSantis will be out of political office soon, and won’t be running for office again. I don’t think Trump wants his endorsement.

Trump has had many people that have turned out to be backstabbers, and disloyal to him.

Why? I've never seen another president in my lifetime who had so many employees and former employees turn on him. Even presidents like Carter, George Bush the Elder and Biden - none of whom have been anywhere near as effective as Trump was - inspired more loyalty than Trump seems to.

People like sessions, cuccinelli, and desantis.

Apples and oranges. Sessions and Cuccinelli worked for Trump as part of his administration. They owed him their loyalty. DeSantis didn't and doesn't.

If he isn’t president he’ll easily walk into the Senate if he wants to.

What was the name of the PAC?

Never Back Down?

Perhaps Casey named it. That and the wrong name pronunciation thing Ron can never do.

For many people, money is a great motivator.

Trump was also a businessman, so he would not know what kind of swampy rinos or greedy power hungry ambitious politician some of these people are. He likely got told that he should endorse or appoint some, because they were the best choice to beat the democrat, and that any republican was better than any democrat.

Now, where has that been said?

Also, desantis owed his original election as governor against the crack head gillum, to the last minute endorsements and rallies that Trump did for him.

If DeSantis doesn’t leave the race, we in Florida are going to start a petition to get him recalled. We need a Governor.

I often wonder if this loyalty we're talking about is getting confused.
The impression is that loyalty to the man is what is being questioned
and that may be part of the situation. (work with me, not against me)

However, I would argue that the bigger loyalty, and the actual loyalty in question,
is the loyalty to the "Make America Great Again" agenda/plan.

You go against that plan and what happens? Think about it.
Is this, making it a personal loyalty test issue, just another media distraction?

JMO, YMMV

Whether seeming friend or recognized foe, what happens?
Is their opposition actually to the man or to the political/economic plan/agenda he wants to implement?

Which fire and brimstone person is going to volunteer to take the job as AG?
Which incorruptible volunteer is going to be in charge of the intelligence agencies?
The list goes on and on.

Is it the man or his plan that has more people worried at night.

DeJeb has been paid $10 million by Rupert Murdoch - and I assume the rest of the RINO Establishment - to go on a kamikaze mission to damage Trump. So he will not pull out of the race no matter how utterly hopeless it is for him. DeJeb has no political future now.

Then he should look for loyalty when he's interviewing and vetting people to work for him.

Are you under the impression that ANY POTUS sits down and interviews then vets people applying for jobs in .gov? The few that this does happen with will lie through their teeth at the opportunity to infiltrate. It's like some of you have no clue how your own .gov works. That makes your statements embarrassing.
