” The Japanese youth of today are largely ignorant of what their great grand parents , grand parents and parents did from 1932 to 1945.”

Parents ? Very few of them left . Otherwise true , but it is not the youth’s fault .

America too is guilty of “ imperialist ambitions “ , ever since the late 19th century in fact . But we’ll just sweep that under the rug shall we ?

America's imperialist ambitions generally weren't engineered to enslave people. The American soldier has liberated people more than he ever truly oppressed them .

Doing that in two world wars involved members of my family. And nothing America's ever done can be ‘’swept under a rug’’. The US is under a constant microscope in it's actions, at home and abroad.

In the last century America, and it's allies but in all honesty the American citizen soldier fought a war to put an end to two imperialist, evil and authoritarian regimes. One of them, Nazism perhaps the most malignant that ever existed. All we ever asked in return was enough ground to bury our dead.
