I remember back when I was kid, Hubbard’s book “Dienetics” seemed to be at every checkout counter, just like the “National Enquirer”.

Scientology is a cult but at least its a cult thats unlikely to affect you unless you or your loved ones are dumb enough to get involved with it unlike the far more widespread and powerful SJW cult.

There was an episode of the Fox show Millennium, 25 years or so ago, that mocked Scientology. Among other things the "Selfosophists" would get every copy of their late founder's books off the store shelves, bring them to the register for purchase, then the books would be distributed BACK to the stores from the publisher, completely unread. It was how the cult members made sure that their founder's books were constantly on the bestsellers list.

The real life Scientologists got REALLY mad when that show poked holes into their ideology LOL

I'm sure they tell her she's beautiful but also demand that she never get LASIK, so she can keep squinting and not even see her E-meter responses.

"Uh, Bart, the machine says you need to donate another millon. NOW."

“Speaking in the new issue of Scientology’s Impact magazine, Cartwright said: ‘This was the most beautiful acknowledgement I have ever received in my entire life.’”

And it only cost you 21 million dollars.

P.T. Barnum must be envious as hell for not thinking of cashing in on his own religion like L.Ron Hubbard did...

After Steven Seagal donated tons of money to a Tibetan Buddhist sect, he was declared to be a reincarnated lama. Pretty nifty.

I wonder if Cartwright got a fancy title in return for her millions. Maybe they could declare her to be L. Ron Hubbard, reincarnated.

Scientology, a mind-control cult originated by flim-flam artist L. Ron Hubbard.

Here's a telling quote from one Mister Hubbard...

“You don't get rich writing science fiction. If you want to get rich, you start a religion.”

What a waste of money, Lord I wonder how much Tom Cruise has thrown down the rat hole? Basically it is not only a scam but IMHO a mental crutch people are convinced they need to function.

L. Ron Hubbard had the last laugh has he lived a life of extravagance to the very end.

He was a 3rd or 4th rate Sci-Fi writer who was never in the league of Heinlien, Clark, Asimov or Ray Bradbury, among others.
