I was recently a patient in Tallahassee Memorial Hospital. Everyone was wearing masks. Many had them in the “chin support” mode rather than over their nose. I asked several people about the masks. It seemed on average they were reluctant to talk about it. I gather there’s no strict policy, but rather some sort of social peer pressure. (This scene from “The Body Snatchers” comes to mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEStsLJZhzo )
I went to Mass General Hospital with the wife (nothing serious this time) on Wednesday. Earlier in the week they had put out a notice that mandatory masking would be stopped.
I hadn’t read the fine print. It was going to be stopped NEXT week. Why not immediately? Well, no biggie, but amusing.
