There is no maintaining an electric car aside from consumables like tires and brakes. When I was younger I was too broke to get a new car so I rebuilt a manual tranny one summer and then rebuilt the engine the next summer. There is no rebuilding much of anything on an EV.

Congratulations you have now spent $40K which is worth less than $25K, once driven off the lot. And if you get a dent - its totaled - your insurance bill will grow the match. Then there is the EV road millage tax ...
