When was the last time somebody got shot arguing over access to a gas pump?

This is one of the major issues Tesla needs to address, with a digital queue at near-full stations. It won't pair if someone is ahead of you in queue.

I was threatened after politely asking if someone could move to another open stall since I was towing (and they were in the only tow stall). Had to wait an hour for them to move.

I’m following these stories closely.

The lack of chargers is one issue.
The lack of functioning chargers is a second issue.
Chargers occupied by non-electric vehicles is a third issue.
Finally, chargers occupied by an electric vehicle long after it reaches full charge.

Many electric vehicle owners who try to use public chargers are having a very negative experience.

Just sit back and let this unfold. Electric vehicles will be as undesirable as those diesel conversions GM attempted in the 1980s.

The lack of chargers is one issue.
The lack of functioning chargers is a second issue.

The lack of a functioning power grid that can handle the proposed EV mandate is a third issue - and the biggest.

There is more at stake at a charger.

Not getting the gas pump you want might cost you five minutes.

Not getting the charger you want might cost you hours.

oh boy, just wait till 1970’s style gas rationing starts happening again.

It’s gonna be the wild west.

sickest part is that people wont give up their place in line to assist the wounded as they lie dying after they got shot by the guy behind them.

Until recharging takes less than 5-10 minutes, EVs will be invalid as an alternative to gas powered cars

As is, even if every gas station in America was magically turned into a charging station over night, it wouldn’t work.

Why?

Because they’d turn into massive parking lots as cars sit for hours trying to get a charge... but not all cars can fit in those lots. There’d be huge lines just to park for hours.

Exactly. However, given how the goobermint is turning fascist, I wouldn't be surprised if down the road all gas-powered vehicles are declared illegal and everyone's forced to drive EVs.

Conversation 10 years after mandatory EV law passed:

Old timer to friend while in line, waiting hours at the charging station: "Hey, remember how you could get your car fueled up in minutes? Those were the days, eh?"

The amount of amperage required to fully recharge a bank of batteries in that amount of time would be substantial and VERY dangerous.
