Everyone knows if the battery craps out, the vehicle will be worthless, so who would buy a second-hand one?
EVs make a great 3rd car for wealthy couples to drive to the local supermarket on weekends. Ad a few correct bumper stickers and they can look like true climate warriors!
I think that’s most of the problem. Who would want a used EV, given the uncertainty about the battery & the price & availibility of a battery? There are other objections, too but that may be the best argument against a used one. Another reason might be the fact that Biden apparently wants everybody to have one.
