There’s plenty of people who smoke plenty of marijuana who don’t then murder people. This could have been drugs, but not legal ones.
David A. Lesh, a 37-year-old man from Denver, was taken into custody on Monday for assaulting a snowmobiler at the Spring Creek Trailhead in unincorporated Summit County late last month, according to a news release from the Summit County Sheriff’s Office.
Lesh is now facing second and third-degree assault charges,
All three are charged with murder, two will roll over on the one who tossed the rock. The two that roll will get a deal and serve a few years, the thrower will spend dozens of Boulder ski seasons in the state pen.
If that is the case, would it be justifiable homicide? I mean in today’s state of affairs no one is responsible for their actions because they were ‘triggered’ by something. Welcome to crazy town. 🤪😵💫

It wasn’t first degree murder. But it was depraved indifference to human life (different states will call that crime different things). Another poster here said it best:

Back in the 70s I was heading east on 84 in Farmington Ct. when I saw a car swerve in front of me and I had my side mirror explode, I looked up and saw 4 kids throwing rocks off the multi mixer overpass [at the time it was finished but not in use] I swerved up the ramp and caught the little Bastards with the help of the guys in the car they blew the windshield out of. We held them for the cops but when they came they would not arrest them [they were 13-14] “after all nobody was hurt”. I lost all respect for cops that day.
You are lucky they didn’t charge you for detaining them.

Do you think the were out to murder, or just doing really dumb stuff without understanding the consequence.
Exposure to marijuana during adolescence delays maturation of the prefrontal cortex.
Being under the influence of marijuana reduces activity in areas related to decision making and executive functions.
When I lived in Colorado, up until a few years ago, I lived in the mountains about 12 miles west of this general area. When I would go into town I would go through all of these areas. I know all of these locations well.
How is the DA there?......................
Then leave their bodies hanging, cartel style, as a message to others who might try this.
