Gutting the primary contributors to ratings and revenue. What a great business plan….
Now’s the time to get a real right wing media group started.
Elon Musk, in his interview with Tucker, sort of fired a shot across the bow at Google. He basically said (in a roundabout way) that AI can be a force for good and freedom but it all depends on how you program it and that if you program it to filter out dissent or to push forward propaganda (something he knows since he blew a fortune on Twitter mainly for the principle of getting rid of their speech policies) then it’s a force for suppression. He knows Google is behind in the AI race, but that they will try to catch up and use it to maintain their search dominance - and at the same time Musk is going to invest in “TruthAI” which, he said, would try to deliver honest results that carefully evaluated data rather than just spit out results based on popularity or so called “credibility of the source”, or, advertisers who pay for results.
You can start one, but Comcast won’t carry it. It will have to be alt - a stand-alone service you can get openly via the internet without a subscription.
In theory, Twitter could be such a platform. Musk is trying to change it to X. And he recently said he will let content creators keep all the proceeds (less Apple and Google’s mandatory cut) for a year. He’s trying to built Twitter into a new, bigger, wider platform for content. He’s taking on everyone. Reminds me of Howard Hughes - mortgaged his Tool & Die company (major cash cow) to the hilt to get what he wanted (movies, aircraft company, TWA etc). Tesla is Musk’s cash cow. He could also take SpaceX public to raise cash. Because of Tesla’s automotive dominance he’s pretty much untouchable. The left needs Tesla at least for the next decade, but that means Musk will keep raking in big bucks.
Bongino said something was in the works on his podcast last week but didn’t give details or hints
I think that you are right. This is Chinese style control of the media news.
Awesome observation
Fox made the decision, and went to the dark side.
The purge is on!
If Hannity and Ingram were worth their salt, they’d tell Fox GFY, and leave !!!
I prefer RAV also.
Bears repeating.
The one show I don’t like on RAV is at 4 pm. I do like Gina Loudon, but Miranda Kahn is dreadful so I don’t watch the show.
Grant Stinchfield added a lot when they brought him on.
New theory is after Biden wins second term, at some point he will ‘retire’ and Harris will take over for the rest of the term, going on to get 8 more.
Dead may be an understatement.
DJT summed it up saying, Biden has done more in 2 years to destroy this country then the 5 worst Presidents in US history.
People have been saying Biden would step down for Harris for years. Why do we keep perpetuating this nonsensical theory?
Once they whittle away our constitutional rights
—
Already gone - just a walking corpse. All they really need is a strong Tribal case to reaffirm that the Constitution only grants Rights to named parties - ie the Tribes, and therefore, all others have mere privileges that can be revoked at any given time <— they already affirmed that in 3 previous Tribal cases.
At that point, what most think of as their Rights will be permanently revoked.
Why do we keep perpetuating this nonsensical theory?
—
Because it is looking more and more like it is the Dems plan, for one.
Podcast have a slot of their own but won’t replace radio for it has more listeners tuned in.
Marketplace (Financial news, neutral), 14.8 million
All Things Considered (Newsmagazine, leftist), 14.7 million
The Sean Hannity Show (Talk, right of center): 14.5 million
The Dave Ramsey Show (Financial talk, neutral), 14 million
Morning Edition (Newsmagazine, leftist), 13.1 million
The Mark Levin Show (Talk, conservative), 12 million
Coast to Coast AM (Paranormal talk, neutral) 11 million
The Glenn Beck Program (Talk, conservative), 10 million
The Mike Gallagher Show (Talk, right of center) 8.5 million
Delilah (Adult contemporary music, neutral) 8.3 million
The talkers have their place, but radio is on a long-term decline. You can just as easily listen to a podcast. Cable news is another dying medium. CNN may still have a near-monopoly on airport TV screens, but most people are reading their smartphones and ignoring the screens.
Podcast have a small arena who wants to drag around and fumble with a cell phone a anything else just to hear something when it’s so much faster and easier to just turn a knob.
I see so many people with cell phone growths in their hand walking driving in stores the look like a lost tribe member trying to get home.
Only time I use mine is when it’s turned on or when it rings more of a pain in the ass then a need.
Most talk radio is left static common sense people don’t tune into them nor network news.
Every format has constant commercial interruption it’s how they stay in business to pay the bills.
