Stolen land? Don’t make me laugh. The great archeological revival in the Peten began in the nineteen sixties when there was literally no one in the region. The era of the chicle hunter was over. The capital was nothing to speak of, and the single hotel was skid row quality. There was no real road into Belize, or up into Mexico’s Quntana Roo. The road from Coban, Guatemala to the north was a path. The single airstrip was serviced by an antiquated DC-3. Archeologists did the one thing that most would have thought impossible. It made the place interesting. Stolen land? The usual leftist garbage!
Your land was stolen?
My land was stolen!
The whole world was stolen!
As we may find out some day, we ALL are from somewhere else !
