Government has grown so big that everyone involved in government think they rule the rest of us. They believe they have a right to go into towns and cities and tell the residents where they can live and how. If government housing was the answer to helping low income or homeless people, why is it that most of “the projects” today are hell holes full of crime and not kept up with repairs?
No, but here in southern NH they are putting in “work force housing” in towns that defy their zoning laws. For example, down the road from my house they are building 60 two or three bedroom duplexs on a piece of property.
Prior, to this work force housing law they would have needed 200’ of road frontage and a minimum of one acre to build a single family house. There is no town water or sewer available. In addition there is a brook on this property and a large amount of wetland. So, all the duplexs will be clustered together on the small amount of land that is dry and above a seasonal wet area. Plus, they need to put in wells to feed water to these 60 units and stick in community leach fields too.
The other impact is that there will be potentially 120 or more vehicles on the road every day. The last and potentially worst impact from a real estate tax impact is that there could be several hundred children added to the local school systems that for the most part are at capacity currently. The real estate taxes on these duplexs will not be close to the cost of putting two children/unit in the school system.
IF this development had been brought to the planning board as a 55 and over development the people in town would have been hugely in favor of it. As that type of housing is in high demand here. The other main benefit of that type of housing is the zero impact on additional children in the school system.

Why did Stalin destroy the kulaks?
Stalin believed any future insurrection would be led by the Kulaks, thus he proclaimed a policy aimed at "liquidating the Kulaks as a class." Declared "enemies of the people," the Kulaks were left homeless and without a single possession as everything was taken from them, even their pots and pans."
The future for those proven to be "conservatives".....maybe?
“Are the Rats proposing to build high-rise abominations in cow pastures and then have the locals pay for the million dollar water and sewage treatment plants?”
No, they intend to move rual populations into urban areas. It’s been the plan since the early 1970’s.
> What you’ll see is mile after mile of huge apartment buildings.. Very, VERY little in the way of private homes and property.
You mean, like what north san jose looks like right now?... :(
I don’t think minorities really want to live in the suburbs.
Isn’t that part of the “Agenda 21” thing I heard about a few years back?
Force everyone into urban living to ease control of them, or something.
It has been some years now, but family friends decided to move from their longtime home after several apartment complexes switched to section 8. The apartments were about 6 blocks away. Many of these people had nothing to do and just wandered around looking for trouble.
My niece (in Pennsylvania) told me her city is looking at an empty field behind her beautiful home to build Section 8 housing - she’s gone to the city council meetings herself along with her neighbors to try to stop this.
I told her to get out NOW before the value of her home drops to nothing - and she and her family become crime victims.
This happened to a former colleague - she had a beautiful, expensive condo that looked out over the harbor (California). Section 8 was built in front of her after she moved in - she didn’t know any of this at the time.
She said the “teens” in the Section 8 housing would come to the fence where she lived and break out the windows of her building with rocks. There was also an increase in car break-ins and burglaries. She sold and got out at a huge loss.
“No, they intend to move rual populations into urban areas. It’s been the plan since the early 1970’s.”
And the exact opposite happened - tens of millions of families with children moved from hostile big cities and into exurbia and the suburbs.
It is surprising that section 8 housing would go up in coastal California. I spent sometime out in coastal LA a few years ago. In residential areas, any new construction had to be voted on by the residents. Flags went up at construction sites if there were additions added to a home. The same with a complete tear down

I believe the apartment building was already there when she got there - once they started taking in Section 8, the entire building turned Section 8.
1. Reminder of what ‘net zero’ really means. This graphic from UK Govt FIRES project. Key points: all airports except Heathrow, Belfast & Glasgow to close by 2030. NO FLYING at all by 2050. No new petrol/diesel cars by 2030; by 2050 road use restricted to 60% of today’s level. pic.twitter.com/0s0dI9kAHK— Prof Norman Fenton (@profnfenton) April 9, 2023
Sounds like the homeless take over of Venice, CA...
No Big Deal!
Our communist masters know that the pathetically servile and indolent Aamerican people will just continue to roll over and spread their collective cheeks...
Was it something like, “The way to crush the bourgeoisie is to grind them between the millstones of taxation and inflation.”?
That quote is from Lenin.
Bourgeoisie = middle class, according to Marx.
Just like the former Soviet Union housing. Much of it still exits (Barely) in all the former Soviet Republics. I have been to most and the high rise housing lacks required maintenance like all eventually will when the politicians run out of money. Just looking at these housing complexes is depressing.
I live in irvine ca and we have a lot of low income housing in this city. Most apartments have low income units but they are not identified as such and you don’t know who the low income tenants are. I guess it’s different in other parts of the country. We don’t have “Section 8 apartment buildings”.
Please report back on her reaction. It’s rare we get to see bitter lefty tears of regret up close and personal. 😂😭
