That’s what I thought too. First, a comic book seems disrespectful of the subject matter, and second, why have it in a high school? They are old enough to read the original. Seems like this was intended for a younger group, and I wouldn’t take their word for it that it was only in the high school library.

Anne’s father edited out the sexual content, including her detailed description of her vagina. Perhaps these people put that back in somehow.

Unfortunate and unnecessary, I would say, pretty far from the actual meaning of the book, which is the savagery that supposedly civilized continent is capable of when given permission for it by an authoritarian government.

Firstly, this is a diary of a young girl who poured her thoughts and hopes into it. It was quite sexually explicit. However, when the publishers originally sought to publish the diary, it was heavily edited, and her sexual musings and writings were removed as immodest and not germane to the holocaust topic. Much later, maybe the 90s, It was republished with the missing material in the hopes of re-booting interest (and sales).
