Why is this a “federal” trial? Is California devoid of state laws against assault???
As POTUS I would recommend Congress void all federal laws that have their counterparts in the laws of the states. That should free up many federal courts and allow for the firing of many federal prosecutors.
You do realize that you are asking a gaggle of lawyers to put another gaggle of lawyers out of work?
