Urban libs love the idea of living with wild animals. I think the folks out west should fill up a couple of semi-trailers with wolves and dump them in NYC in Central Park and see how fast the libs change their tune.

I believe it was anti-hunter Roger Caras who helped get the pro- wolf movement going back in the late 1960s.
I remember some get-together with Ron Ely back in the early 1970s, in which his lion or tiger on a leash attacked someone at a get together. I believe Roger Caras was present at that.
When I last lived on a military installation, a couple of coyotes killed a puppy. They were seen carrying the dead body away. The installation commander sent an email reminding everyone not to try to kill coyote even to protect a pet. A post security guard asked me if i had seen the message and if I had any pets. He then told me that post security would respond to any instances of gunfire, but that it would take them at least 2 hours to investigate. Then he smiled.

Many years ago I was scarfing down some Macdonald’s breakfast stuff with some friends and we happened to sit near some wolf fanatics. I can’t remember the exact words we overheard, but the subject of wolves killing livestock was mentioned and broadly applauded by the wolf crazies as what the ranchers deserved for killing wolves in the first place. Our group moved because we were getting really annoyed with the wolf worshipping a$$holes who were talking really loudly kind of as though they wanted everyone to hear. While I don’t remember exactly what they looked like they were the stereotypical greasy haired (male) and hog butt ugly (female) freaks that you think of when someone says tree huggers of Sierra Club.
Wolves and ranchers…..natural enemies
This is just south of where I live in Wyoming. A couple of the wolves made it back across and they were shot.
I know people were going down to the Wyoming/Colorado boarder to see if they could get one.
It would be terrible if the wolves feasted on some big steaks that were laced with something.
In Idaho a wolf tag costs twelve bucks. Down from 18.
My brother used to guide out of Craig. I sent article to him.
He was born 100+ years to early. When there was no one to guide, he would grab his ruck and strike out looking for new trails and which ones were abandoned that season. Everyday he’d make sure he was on a ridge to call the lodge to see if they had hunters arriving in the next couple days.
