The whole situation has gotten me so disgusted, I’m actively trying to not buy anything I don’t need, not (just) to save money, but in protest. I don’t want to participate anymore. I don’t like the consumerism they encourage, I don’t like the inflation, I don’t like the endless taxes... I don’t want to play ball with these people anymore, and the only way I can think of is to sink to the lowest tax bracket I can survive in, hoard what I can, and sulk.
I’m with you! I hope people start boycotting their state lotteries. Not only does the ticket money support the government but in some states they support the schools. In our state 29% of ticket money goes to the schools. Listed purpose - textbooks. Yeah, right. No accountability. Boycotts work.
No need to sulk, for you have sketched a fine and revolutionary path to greater liberty. Not buying anything one doesn't need is itself revolutionary, and if we all followed such a fine example, Lefty corporations would teeter. To "sink" to a reasonable life style with the lowest possible taxation paid is sensible, as paying for what one does not need includes paying taxes for what one does not want. Hoarding is saving, which is why some media are trying to discourage it and promote spending. For what one does not need.
Yours is a fine strategy. No need to sulk. Enjoy "survival" when others stress out for their debt and unmanageable life style. Sounds like you have won much. Best regards.
There are a lot of us with you. But need more. And quit giving to 501C3’s...there are other ways to “help” people.
Excellent post—and no need to sulk.
