Since then, I’ve cut back on saturated fat and animal fat, in favor of olive oil as a main source of fat.
We’ll see what my blood says, next.
Oh, and I have been on a low-carb approach, with under 60-70 net carbs, a day.
I’m skeptical about this one - who paid for this study? The sugar industry?
60 to 70 still seems high for keto to really kick in. Especially when using ‘net’ in the lower carb counts. I just don’t trust those numbers on myself. GL.
I call low carb diets, the “get weak and crappy inside in all the places you can’t see” diet.
I have very simple macro goals, carbs around 50%, fats 30%, and protein 20%, or thereabouts. Sometimes more protein after heavier lifting in the gym. Any lower in the carbs and my endurance drops and I can’t push out as many reps with heavy weight.
I do keep sugars fairly low though, but I don’t go overboard with that either. A little sugar seems to improve my cardio sessions.
Ever since America went Soviet, I no longer believe any ‘studies’ or ‘reports’.
Please keep in mind that this study was “provided by” the American College of Cardiology, which is funded in part by donations from processed “food” manufacturers like Coca-Cola.
My personal experience is exactly the opposite. My cholesterol and other markers like HDLs and LDLs are normally off the scale in the wrong direction. When I do keto dieting all these numbers come in the green; time after time after time. Plus, I lose some tonnage.
So, I have the same question as others: who financed this study?
IMO, finding ways of explaining away the “died suddenlies” from COVID-19 VAXES.
How about the “Eat what you want cuz you’re gonna die regardless” diet?
Cooking oils, https://www.eatthis.com/cooking-oils/
Invest in a good Airfrier the newer ones do a lot more, bake, toast, broil, Even dehydrate fruits. I’m looking for one with French doors, just not found the right one.
As soon as I saw this I said to myself, “Well, JudyinCanada, it appears they have been trying to find something that’s been popular these past couple of years and make some connection between that and cardiac deaths. This way the sudden deaths of healthy younger people can be blamed on this and not the jab!”
Call me jaded, but it sounds like something they’d do.
TRUST THE SCIENCE!! LOL!!
Aspartame IS SAFE!! TRUST THE SCIENCE! LOL!!
A balanced diet is the only healthy diet.
Axiomatic.
Everything else gives you short term gain, often unsustainable, and long term frailty.
“May” be “linked” to .. could they add “possibly” too just to make it even more wishy washy
