Agreed. Fox News said Judge Newman just lost his son in January.. I think to an aneurysm. I believe he was a practicing lawyer as well, but I’m not certain of that. Very sad.
Wow! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to follow a lot of the details of this interesting trial (as we are moving), so I don’t know what to make of that. I wonder what happened. Maybe there will be some TV special where all the jurors tell us how they came to this guilty verdict.

Thanks for the info. Judge Newman seems like a kind, well-grounded gentleman. Murdaugh's descent into depravity appears to have deeply disturbed Newman as a father, and a member of the bar.
