Some of the native red tailed hawks of Central Park and elsewhere in NYC have succumbed to eating rats which had been exposed to pesticides. I sure hope Flaco does not eat poisoned rats. It would be a real shame to lose him to that.

The only smart thing that I’ve heard attributed to the Adams administration is the CO2 poisoning of the rats in Battery Park

I have read about the owners of rat terriers and similar breeds who meet at night in the NYC and let their dogs do their thing, killing rats, which they do very successfully. There has been fear expressed about the threat to the dogs’ health from the rats’ consumption of pesticides but from what I have read this has not materialized into any harm to the dogs. (You can probably find the articles I am referring to via Google. Fun stuff!)
