For the “its safe for keto” crowd, I told you so.
Unfortunately, they don’t list removal of confounders, but there is an apparent mechanism of potential clot encouragement.
I don’t see this is a biggie, as erythritol is GRAS and already exists in our bodies.
Also, the people they looked at were probably reducing sugars to help with critical health issues.
Again, not removing confounding variables makes this a trash study.
it’s not the clot shot, but the sack of sugar...
But WHO OK’d it for the Market WITHOUT these finding? THE FDA?????
Erythritol isn’t found in the low carb foods I eat. I’ve mostly seen it in diabetic candies. The couple times I’ve tried it, it was no mas for me!
Pay no attention to the syringe behind the curtain!!
But it’s not the vax.
Anything but the vax.
Never touch the stuff. Gives me nasty headaches.
They found the fall guy for the clot shot.
I’ll stick with saccharin, the old time favorite.
Not in Aspartame.
erythritol is a sugar alcohol.
OOOOh, Really??
Been using these for lemme think,
about ...
2023 minus since saccarin came out? = like forever??
Must be petrified by now.
I’m dead.
“Artificial sweeteners are thought to be chemically inert, but scientists are finding these low-calorie compounds are not necessarily free from health consequences.”
But, I LIKE artificial sweetener on my lab-grown meat!
My Grandma was Diabetic and lived on cans of TAB (soft drink). She lived to nearly 90. And that stuff was the worst of the worst.
She looked very ‘well preserved’ in her casket, though!
Ba-Dump-Dump! *TISH*
They’re clutching at straws trying to protect the covid vaccine. There was something else they claimed was causing heart attacks the other day. Can’t remember what it was.
“ They found it in blood levels of organic compounds used as sweeteners, specifically erythritol; a sweetener commonly used in low sugar, sugar-free, and no-carb foods.”
Not convinced to stop using it.
A little goes a long way…especially when your cravings become less for sugar anyway when you eat a low carb diet.
I use very little.
I’ll stick with natural cane sugar.
Just don’t use too much of it.
Moderation in all things.
Sure.
Fear porn.
When they use words like “can be” you know it is BS.
When they don’t tell you the amount they gave to volunteers, you know it is BS.
When they say that adding some straight to a sample of blood made the blood “sticky” so it “may” cause clotting in the body...well that is yellow journalism fear porn at it’s finest.
