Thanks for your response. This is where I have been confused.....I work with a guy that is a Christian. We discuss the Bible and our theology is identical.
However, he votes straight (D) , believes in CRT, government “caring” for the poor, believes it’s the right to abort, watches CNN and spouts the same crap. But he despises the Gay/Trans crap——He is from Puerto Rico FWIW.
But this is where things don’t make sense to me-—how could we agree on everything in God’s Word, but we don’t agree on anything (almost) that’s going on in the world?
Even if he's truly sincere, there are still cultural associations with politics. It makes no sense to me that Dims wholly support the party of slavery and segregation that today says blacks are so stupid they wouldn't know what pot to pee in without smart white Dims to point it out. But groupthink among other blacks make supporting Dims seem like the black thing to do. Maybe your coworker from Puerto Rico has a similar backstory. It could be habitual more than anything. I know I'm better off not eating sweets, but I'm tempted to do it because I've done it so much in the past. Some of the professional and Godly blacks I know still vote Dim because they've done so all their lives, even though they know the Dims are probably the most organized anti-Christian group in the U.S. today.
Then there's pride. People get so emotionally invested in politics and spew so much out of their mouths, it's embarrassing to admit to themselves later that they were duped. Even when it becomes obvious to some of them that they've been duped, they're afraid that being against the Dims today is admitting to others and themselves that in the past they were easily fooled by the God denying, baby butchering, freedom sucking, race baiting, anti American, pedo grooming, cow fart warmageddon cult Dims.
